Episode #41 of the Rave Atlas Mix Series comes from one of the most influential and diverse(production wise) figures of Germany’s electronic music scene, Gabriel Le Mar.

Gabriel is a music producer, living in Frankfurt/Germany, releasing electronic music with a special focus on deep sounds and Dub inspired TechHouse.

Inspired by the mix techniques of Jamaican dub music, Gabriel combines his heavy dub mixing with the pure physical energy of club and dancefloor sounds in his productions. Deep dubby music you can easily dance to.

On his solo albums, Gabriel produces tracks, which are tailored for the dub inspired clubber, combining different playful approaches of Dub with the functionality and stringency of Tech House music.

Bridges are built by energetic and minimal grooves.

With an open mind and always in a search for fresh musical experiences, Gabriel Le Mar likes to integrate himself in different artistic constellations with project pseudonyms such as Saafi Brothers and Aural Float into ambient, space and experimental sound scapes.

With Aural Float(a joint project with Alex Azary and Pasca F.E.O.S) Gabriel Le Mar explored the leftfield side of electronic music.

The project produced three albums ("Introspectives", "Freefloat" and "Beautiful Someday" all three on the Electrolux imprint) with an emphasis on live sound manipulations, fat basslines and deep emotional Electronica.

Aural float also work on audiovisual concepts..

As a team they did the artistic supervision of SPACENIGHT, a prototype of an integral TV-concept, utilizing spectacular film- and documentary footage from outer space with music made on earth.

A spacy sound to accompany the viewer for hours in space.

SpaceNight became a success on German television and soon reached cult status among the young night watchers until today. Deep space in the wee hours - on air since 1996.

End-of-Days sound for the next generation.

Saafi Brothers(a project created in 1997, initially signed on the iconic psy trance Blue Room Released label, and still active up to this present day with releases on LSD- Liquid Sound Design and Iboga), got deeper into ambient-dub and add drum trills, that got the tunes rocking. The secret of the Saafi Brothers albums is the "danceable speed" in ambient tracks. Mostly starting with deep intros and then merging into dubbish beats for the floor, the one can especially experience in their live performances.

At Chill Out Events Saafi Brothers play ambient and downtempo and spin a lot of their own electronic dubby soundscapes.

And there is more..

With a mixture of reggae influenced dub, house, and deep dubtechno sounds, he creates a unique connection with his new project Dublocation.

In his coop with Dr. Motte, Gabriel steps on new ground, releasing electronic dance music with a special focus on the various colours of Techno.

Dr. Motte and Gabriel Le Mar bring together elements of both ends of the Techno/Electronica spectrum, lovingly creating the pure aspects of dance.

Appearances solo and with his projects at festivals like Roskilde, Sziget, Ozora, Tribal Gathering, Antartis, TimeWarp, Deichbrand...

And as all these were not enough, Gabriel is also part of Synergy Dub, a joint dj/live project with Dj Robin Triskele.

The project was birthed from a jam session in 2016 Youth’s Space Mountain International Cosmic Arts Lab.

Synergy Dub focus on intoxicating future dub grooves and vibes in various electronic music styles that range from deep and trippy techno on the dance floor to leftfield electronica or cinematic ambient in chill out spaces, combining the different approaches of Dub.

In his own words:

“I love going through waves concerning energy and flow - flowing grooves, sometimes pushing and forcing, and deep sounds that make you dance and feel. Always searching for a timeless quality in music, creating atmospheres in his very own way in fusing deep, minimalistic and melodic tunes”

Here he comes with an electronic fuelled groove where DubTechno elements blend with Techhouse and Techno, creating an energetic mix, powered by highly experimental overdubs, with music from : Mnmllounge, Tripswitch, DM-Theory, Kolombo, Andreas Henneberg, Patrick Chardronnet, Cosmique, Hugeau, Omsk Information, Dr Walker, Dagda, Edelstahl ,Stiv Hey, Salo & Bandung ,Filterheadz, Latex Zebra, Daniel Ortgiess, Phutek & Umberto Pagliaroli.
